Deputies at the Kootenai County Jail responded to medical emergencies involving two inmates on Dec. 6 at approximately 7:30 p.m. According to a recent news release, jail staff identified symptoms of fentanyl overdoses and administered Narcan, reviving both individuals. As deputies moved the remaining inmates from the affected section, additional inmates began showing signs of overdose.
